Yeongdeungpo Market, which opened in 1956 and has remained in place ever since, is the largest and oldest traditional market in the southwestern region with a total area of 18.818 m², with about 300 stores and 400 street stalls.

The passage leading from the Yeongdeungpo Market intersection toward Yeongdeungpo Rotary is mainly used for retail, and the surrounding area is home to stores selling wholesale tools and stationery.

Since 2018, a night market has been opened in the market's central passage and Sundae Alley, focusing on food trucks and food, and is gaining popularity through word of mouth. (The entrance to the night market is the north gate)
